After years working at top agencies, we knew the approach to brand development had become flawed. The approach was highly siloed – with public relations, naming, medical education, advertising, and digital agencies developing communications from their own unique perspectives. This time consuming, redundant, and costly approach unfortunately became the norm, and left brands unprotected and open to the risk of fragmentation. The siloed approach meant no one agency could remain objective enough to ensure the development of a strong, singular brand identity that would ensure a consistent, cohesive, and relevant image of the brand across communications channels, which is how brands are experienced in the real world.

It became clear that there was a need for a channel-neutral brand development partner who would be purely responsible for the "health" of the brand identity as a whole. This is why we formed GDBD.
